| Compact Compositi |
| |
COMPACT COMPOSITI was founded as a small industry based on past experiences in styling and prototyping.
During COMPACT COMPOSITI’s many years of activity, it has developed and extended the applications of composites: carbon, glass, aramidic fabrics, Nomex and the most recent polymer techniques used in various high technology products.
The collaboration with some of our Customers such as Pininfarina Industrie e Centro Studi e Ricerche, Stile Bertone, Carrozzerie Coggiola, Italdesign - Giugiaro Design, Idea Institute, Heuliez Torino, to name but a few in the automotive industry, Victory Design in competitive nautical applications or the Mussato Racing Team in automobile racing, etc., has given us a vision of our work which is not only orientated towards resolving the purely technical difficulties of the job but to do what is necessary to make sure that the “made in Italy” style is easily identifiable in every project realised by Compact.
In 1995 COMPACT COMPOSITI became a limited company, investing in technology and equipping itself for aerospace applications.
Today our market also includes aviation with ultra light aeroplane and helicopters, competitive motor sport and in-shore boats.
Our activity in these sectors consists of production starting from project, prototyping of bodywork, component parts of bodywork, chassis, and specific support with mechanics (air ducts, conveyors, air boxes, hot air dispersers at the wheels, etc).
Obviously, production is all made in advanced composite materials: fibreglass, carbon fibre, Kevlar, and so on.
Our staff is not only capable of giving production support but can also, according to the needs of the customer, offer technical and logistical support for every kind of realisation.
COMPACT COMPOSITI works by means of innovative technologies, the use of composite materials and the creation of projects; from major specialised sectors to firms moving towards line decentralisation in order to make production more flexible and to serve the market better: this is the case not only with single parts but also it offers technical co-operation and the most interesting and technologically advanced processes to meet customers needs and their quality requirements.
COMPACT COMPOSITI offers design and manufacturing services to Customers from the concept through to the product, including: consultancy, concepts, design, pattern making, mould manufacture, speedy realisation of prototypes, trimming and assembly, small and medium cost effective series or productions, innovative development programmes to solve tomorrow’s problems today.

| Compact Compositi "Advanced Composites" Department |
|
The new building of 750 m² dedicated to aeronautical and sports competition production, is equipped for the realisation of tools and parts in advanced composite materials with offices and a laboratory of 150 m².
Our team consists of 5/7 workers, 1 office clerk, 1 production manager, 1 quality manager, 1 researcher.
This new production is aimed at clients who require a high standard of quality and processing for the realisation of parts in pre-preg, either in glass or Kevlar or in carbon fibre.
We will offer to our customers not only “parts” but also a complementary “emergency call-out” service with a team ready to travel anywhere to respond to clients’ needs with an equipped mobile unit.
We are taking the necessary steps to get aeronautical certification.

| Processes |
|
- Post cure of parts, either in plastic or metallic composites, at temperature and at pressure with process checks.
- Construction of “single skin” or sandwich composites
- Assembly using structural gluing
- Structural and dimensional inspections
- ISO 9002 and MIL procedures standard to become a certified company
Our goal with this unit is to be able to offer facilities to companies in the automotive and aeronautical field, to work with a high quality standard, in projecting, prototyping and body construction in advanced composite materials and to become a partner for projects as well as involvement in the development of technologies.
Our ambition is to become, together with our partners, a landmark for the international aeronautic, automotive and engine industry in order to realise projects for them. We are able to offer materials and technologies which have been up to now “only property” of aeronautics and sport competition, but with the versatility and flexibility that has always characterised our work. |
| |
| Experiences |
|
- Realisation of prototyping moulds for the automotive field
- Realisation of gauges for the automotive and aeronautical field
- Realisation of carbon fibre mandrels for the automotive and aeronautical field

| Projects in Progress |
|
Western development systems have shown, after having explored numerous possibilities, that commercial opportunities in the third millennium will only be exploited by enormously versatile companies. That is to say, those industries which aim at the right medium term investment based on their products and the market segment which they intend to propose or to attack.
From this point of view COMPACT COMPOSITI has been involved in two new projects in recent years.
- One is the participation in a European research project connected to the development of a new hollow sphere structure.
Thanks to the co-operation with the project partners, GIE EADS CCR and Fiat Research Centre - to name only the research centres with which COMPACT COMPOSITI was closely working – we obtained excellent results and, furthermore, this "adventure" has represented interesting and stimulating training, thanks also to the high level of professionalism that COMPACT COMPOSITI has encountered during this project.
- The second one is the technical co-operation with the main Indian fibreglass motorcycle crash helmet producer, since 1998.
We are working on two collaborations:
- the transfer of know-how to the company,
- the establishment of a joint-venture.
- Two new Italian research projects have been submitted to the Italian University Ministry of Research and Technological Development.
Compact Compositi is involved, in one of these, in collaboration with an Italian consortium of automotive companies in reference to the projecting and studying of new methods and processes in the automotive sport field.
- As far as the second one is concerned, we had studied, projected and realised a new ultralight aircraft: Millennium Master.
